Passed away peacefully at Hospice Whanganui on Tuesday 16th March 2021, aged 57 years, after a short but courageous and dignified battle.

Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Greg. Cherished and adored mum of Reece and Nathan and special new friend to Shania.

A treasured daughter of Leith and Elspeth Shand and much loved little sister to Kristine and Bevan (Aus). Loved sister-in-law to Pete, Rhonda and Wayne (Aus).

A much loved daughter-in-law to Arlene and Chicka (dec)(Aus). The cool and loved aunt to her nieces and nephews Joanna, Phillippa, Shannon, Todd, Joel (dec) and Tate all in Australia. A loved niece and kindred spirit to Patricia (dec).

A special friend to so many wonderful people who are scattered all around the world and can’t be here to farewell Tonia.

Our gratitude goes out to the staff of Palmerston North Hospital and the caring staff at Hospice Whanganui for their loving care of Tonia for her last days. In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice Whanganui would be greatly appreciated.

The family invite you to join them to celebrate Tonia’s extraordinary life on Monday 22nd March 1.00 pm at Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a private cremation.

As per Tonia’s wishes please no black just bright colours to brighten the day.

Dearly beloved wife and soul mate of Reg. Treasured Mum of Lisa (Sam), (the late) Edward, Royce, Shaun, and Glen. Loved daughter of the late Myrtle Spry.

Beloved wife of (the late) Keith Williams, and former wife of Brian Townsend. Much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Donna and Lloyd, Vicky and Wayne, and Wendy and Mark. Loved Nanny to her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Christine's wishes, a private farewell has been held.
